Charles comes to Five Corners Strategies with more than twenty years of finance, accounting and information systems experience. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
Prior to joining Five Corners Strategies, Charles’ work experience centered around organizations that received grants and contracts from the federal government including not-for-profit organizations, colleges, universities, hospitals, research institutes, building contractors and defense contractors. His specific contributions include endowment and investment management, tax-exempt bond compliance, cost accounting, indirect/overhead rate calculations, policies and procedures preparation, systems implementations, audit, non-profit tax returns, and strategic planning.
Charles has a deep passion for pursuits of higher education, having earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fairfield University, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts and an Associates of Arts in Accounting and Business and an Associates of Science in Computer Information Systems from Cape Cod Community College.
Charles also values contribution toward community organizations including serving as a senior member of a volunteer fire department as Lieutenant and Emergency Medical Technician for the West Barnstable Fire Department where he was awarded the Firefighter of the Year award in 2011. Charles was awarded the Alumna of the Year at Cape Cod Community College for his contributions to the college, the college’s foundation, the alumni association and general community contributions. Charles is currently a “Big Brother” with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay. He is also active in Habitat for Humanity helping to build homes for those with lesser means.
Charles lives in Hingham with his wife Danielle and daughter Natalie. He enjoys cycling and mountain biking and is working to summit all 48 4,000 foot peaks in New Hampshire’s White Mountains having completed about three quarters of them to date.
