Five Corners Adds D.C. Mayor’s Former Campaign Manager To Their Team

(WASHINGTON, D.C. / JAN. 13, 2015) Five Corners Strategies has hired Bo Shuff as a new Campaign Director. Prior to joining Five Corners Strategies, Shuff worked as the successful Campaign Manager for Washington, D.C. Mayor, Muriel Bowser, both during her primary against former incumbent Mayor Vincent Gray and the general election race with former Council member David Catania.

“Bringing someone onboard of Bo’s ability and reputation will further strengthen our team of top-notch public affairs campaign operatives,” said Ben Kelahan, Partner at Five Corners Strategies. “The success we’ve experienced over the past several years for clients all over the country is allowing us to continue our growth and diversity of services for clients, and Bo joining us with his wealth of expertise and diverse coalition building is another big win for our team.”

Shuff will be directing multiple corporate public affairs campaigns for Five Corners Strategies’ Washington, DC office based in Friendship Heights. According to Kelahan, “With a widening array of projects in the firm’s Mid-Atlantic practice – from energy and real estate to public infrastructure cases – Shuff will be able to match his experience with our clients’ increasing public challenges permitting projects and working on successful legislation.” His past experience in politics and grassroots campaigning includes his work with Washington, D.C. Mayor Bowser, Top Shelf Consulting and Progressive Congress. Additionally, he has worked with Hillary Clinton, served as a Director for Equality Ohio and as Field Director for Human Rights Campaign.

“I have a passion for working on complex and challenging political issues and am a strong believer in Five Corners Strategies’ model, the power of grassroots execution in the field and how it works seamlessly in an effective communications plan”, said Shuff. He continued, “When the opportunity with Five Corners Strategies presented itself, I knew right away it was the right move for me, both personally and professionally. This is a firm that does incredibly innovative and successful work for their clients and that’s something I want to be a part of.”
