Joe brings a strong history of work on statewide ballot initiative, issues advocacy, and candidate campaigns in 5 states from all over the US, many of which garnered sustained national media attention. He specializes in volunteer recruitment and management, digital communications, and data and analytics. Recently, he has directed field and data programs for statewide candidates in California and Idaho, and directed strategy for a record-breaking ballot initiative in Michigan, leading an all-volunteer petition circulating team in collecting over 440,000 signatures in just 4 months time.
In addition to his work on campaigns, Joe has several years of project management experience working on national level-IT projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs, shepherding software development projects through procurement to completion, with a metrics based focus on the deliverable approval process. This work provides him with a unique and flexible understanding of software applications and platform utilization that are an asset to any campaign.
When he isn’t on the phone, in a spreadsheet, or out knocking doors, Joe enjoys riding his Harley Road King up and down the California coast, sleeping in his hammock in national forests, and volunteering on the staff of American Model United Nations, an annual conference for over 1,200 college students in Chicago.
